On "A Gentleman's Dignity", which aired on July 1st, Jang Dong Gun wore Hanbok, which portrayed a sophisticated classical scholar of Korea. This was first time in twenty years that he wore Hanbok, a traditional Korean clothing, and he grasped female's fan's attention by cleaning the leaves of a plant with a pleasant calm smile.
During the shoot of this scene, which was done in a set on the 26th in Kyeong Ki Do, Ilsan, there was a constant change of the Hanboks to find the perfect color that would fit Kim Do Jin the best. After changing the Hanbok twice, they were able to find a perfect color, pale blue and white for Jang Dong Gun.
When people saw this, they had a different variety of comments such as, "He looks just as great in Hanbok as when he wears suits", "His Hanbok figure is the best", or "He can pull off anything!"
While shooting, Jang Dong Gun constantly brought new ideas to the set by saying, "I think Kim Do Jin would do this", which showed his passion for acting in the drama.
Producers of the drama has said, "Jang Dong Gun is showing his fondness towards the character Kim Do Jin by willingly doing comical scenes that would ruin his built up reputation and due to this commitment, it is bringing great concentration of his acting for the drama.
