Kim Jae Joong revealed his method to overcome the scorching heat.

On the 31st, there was the filming for a battle scene in the midst of midsummer heat which went over 36 degrees Celsius in MBC's Yong-In outdoor set. Kim Jae Joong, who stars as a military officer in the drama had to wear heavy armors and cotton padded battle suits for his play action scenes.

One of the representatives from the drama production team said, "Since Kyung Tak(Kim Jae Joong) plays a military officer role, it takes more than two hours of rehearsal with other action actors to match the moves prior to the filming, and it takes longer time than usual to finish a scene because we have to film in various angles. Although the weather was cruel just to keep himself standing, he did all his action scenes without a stunt double."

Kim Jae Joong's management company C-Jes Entertainment said that Kim Jae Joong is fighting against unimaginable heat wearing historical costumes. "We carried for him ice packs in the car, and used big and small fans, but it wasn't enough" they said.

With the above in mind, the staff on the set is bringing new ideas to overcome the weather. They made an umbrella like mini tent to provide a portable shade. They also let him wear functional sleeveless layered and attach cool sheets.

Kim Jae Joong revealed, "With just a few swings of sword, I got all wet with sweat. But I think it helps expressing the extremeness of the battle. I could forget the heat as I focus on the action scenes because these scenes are very important to deliver Kyung Tak's emotion."

Meanwhile, drama 'Dr. Jin' only have two episodes left before its ending.
