Actor Yoo Seung Ho revealed at new MBC drama 'Arang and the Magistrate' press conference, "more than anything I wanted to become an actor people respected and admired."
He says with frank honesty, "I hate people judging me based on my age. I wanted to become so successful to the point no one can deny it. It may be self-centered, but I wanted to become so successful that people will be nervous to make eye contact with me."
The actor continues, "I've been working since I was very young and I thought myself to be mature despite my age, but the older generation seems to just see me as a thoughtless 20-something year old. I'm not asking for others to see me as a completely grown. I just hope people can recognize me as an actor even if I may be young."
Veteran actor Park Joon Gyu adds on that Yoo Seung Ho's long resume of work as an actor calls for respect.
'Arang and the Magistrate' is a fantasy romance drama set in the Chosun Dynasty. Lee Joon Gi returns from his military service to star as the magistrate Lee Eun Oh and actress Shin Min Ah takes on the role of the unjustly murdered ghost Arang. The drama will air its first episode next week.
