Which smartphones is the best purchase for consumers? The iPhone 5, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, or the HTC One Mini?
In terms of design and display,the HTC One Mini is the biggest and heaviest among the two smartphones, being 5.2 inches tall/2.49 inches wide/0.36 inches thick and weighing 0.27 grams. It has a 4.3 inches Super LCD screen with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels and 341ppi.
The next in line is the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, measuring 4.91×2.41×0.35 inches and weighing 0.24 grams. It has a 4.3 inches Super AMOLED screen that renders a much lower resolution than the other smartphones of 960x540pixels and 256ppi.
Finally, the iPhone 5 has the following dimensions: 4.87×2.31×0.3 inches, and it weighs only 0.25 grams.The Apple smartphone has only a 4 inches IPS LCD screen, but with a lower resolution of 1136x640pixels and 326ppi.
For hardware and OS, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is powered by a 1.7GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, being followed by the HTC One Mini with its 1.4GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, and on the third position we find the iPhone 5 which has a 1GHz A6 chip. The S4 Mini has 1.5GB of RAM and it runs on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean just like the HTC smartphone, but the second phone has 1GB of RAM. The iPhone 5 runs on the iOS 6 with 1GB of RAM.
The HTC One Mini’s internal memory is of 16GB, but it’s unexpandable, while the S4 Mini offers 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 64GB. The iPhone 5 has three variants of unexpandable internal memories: 16/32/64GB.
For the battery usage and camera specs, the Samsung S4 Mini has its 1900mAh battery, while the HTC One Mini us equipped with an 1800mAh battery, but it’s non-removable, just like iPhone 5’s 1449mAh battery.
The Samsung S4 Mini and Apple's iPhone 5 have 8MP cameras on the back and 1.9MP, respectively 1.2MP cameras on the front. The HTC One Mini sports a 4MP UltraPixel primary camera and a 1.6Mp secondary camera.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini cost around $297, the HTC One Mini $334, and the iPhone 5 16GB variant cost $535.
