A viral video, posted on April 2, shows the 1995-born star being carried off stage unconscious by multiple staff members.

The clip quickly circulated, reaching the second spot on Weibo's hot search list.

Wu, known for her participation in the Chinese girl group WJSN and the reality series Produce 101 China, was rehearsing for the popular competition show when she suddenly fainted, sending the studio into chaos.

In a separate leaked video, Wu is seen at one point appearing weak and hunched over, just seconds away from collapsing before she fainted.

As per KBiZoom, sources close to the show indicated that Wu had been practicing until 3 a.m. before the rehearsal, possibly contributing to her physical collapse.

"She was exhausted from overwork and harsh weather conditions," a representative for Wu's studio said in a statement.

"She was immediately given medical attention, and we are closely monitoring her condition. She is currently stable and resting."

Wu's agency confirmed the incident, attributing her collapse to extreme fatigue resulting from both the demanding rehearsal schedule and the ongoing pressures of the show.

Wu's agency emphasized that his well-being is a priority in the future, assuring fans that the 31-year-old is receiving the care he needs to recuperate.

It has sparked a debate over the intense pressures that idols in the entertainment world face.

Fans have been worrying if the stars they love are actually safe and protected at such pressure they are bound to live in, as it is not the first case when a popular star collapses.

Also known as Sisters Who Make Waves 2025's "Fairy Goddess," Wu Xuanyi is receiving a lot of attention because of her previous popularity and performances.

Noting her talent, some outlets reported that her group scored poorly in the third round of public performances, which has spurred speculation that the pressure of the physical demand of rehearsals and lackluster results led to her fainting.

Wu, whose career has faced a series of setbacks in recent years, including a decline in popularity and criticism of her acting skills, had hoped to revitalize her image by participating in Sisters Who Make Waves.

She has been praised for her performances while working at the show, but this latest health scare has drawn questions about the pressures that idols are out under to meet ever-increasing expectations.

As She takes time to rest and recapture her health, Wu's fans and supporters are urging greater awareness of the physical and mental tolls of being in show business in the hope that her plight might induce substantive change in the industry.

Wu Xuanyi's agency has vowed to pay closer attention to her health in the future, ensuring that such incidents do not recur.
