'A Company Man' almost stole the no. 1 spot away from 'Masquerade'
The Korean Film Council released the tickets sold the day of the movie's release, "A Company Man" came in second with 102,838 tickets sold. "Masquerade", stayed in first place with 104,236. "A Company Man" and "Masquerade" were only 1,400 tickets apart.
An official said that at one point just before the film′s first screening, it beat out "Masquerade" but was over come in ticket sale soon after.
"A Company Man" is an action film about Ji Hyung Do (So Ji Sub) trying to give up his job as a killer. It also stars Lee Mi Yeon, Kwak Do Won and ZE:A′s Dong Jun.
The Hollywood film "Looper" took the no. 3 spot with 33,099 tickets. The fourth went to "Dangerous Liaisons", starring Jang Dong Gun, Cecilia Cheung and Zhang Ziyi, with 26,832. This film also premiered on the same day.
