Kim Ok Bin not only made the news this year for her performance in the 50-episode drama "Yoona's Street," but she again made headlines when it was revealed that she was dating co-star Lee Hee Joon. The couple confirmed their relationship shortly after the drama ended in November.
"He was adored by everyone on the set," she said in an interview with TenAsia.
Kim won an APAN award for her performance in "Yoona's Street," playing the title character of Kang Yoo Na, the daughter of a pickpocket. She trained for her role by taking lessons from a former pickpocket.

1. She has to work hard to look unattractive. The director of "Yoona's Street" did his best to keep her from looking her best. He did not let her character wear nice clothes.
"He didn't even let me wear a jacket like everyone else wears," she said. "He said they looked too good on me. He didn't let me wear false lashes either and nothing branded was allowed. I had nothing to wear toward the end."
But the not wearing too much makeup part was okay because she does not like putting it on.
2. She has martial arts skills, having studied Hapkido and Taekwondo and practicing muay their and boxing.
3. She quit school but not because she couldn't keep up or she didn't like it. Her IQ has been measured at 141.
She quit because she decided to spend her education budget paying for her sister's school. After she debuted at age 19, she cared for her two sisters, who followed her to Seoul. Her second sister was a university student and the youngest was a middle school student.
4. She won acting awards for her first film. She made her debut in an online beauty contest and despite having little experience was cast as one of the three leads in the film "Voice." She won Best New Actress awards at the Blue Dragon Film Awards and Baeksang Arts Awards.
5. She played a married woman involved with a vampire in Park Chan Wook's 2009 horror film "Thirst. The film was described as a "mad love story" by Time magazine. Horror films are not her favorite genre. She prefers comedies.
The 27-year-old actress can also be seen in the 2014 film "Minority Opinion." Her last drama before "Yoona's Street" was "The Blade and The Petal."
