They may have been shopping for a friend. But when Chinese media snapped ex-Girls Generation member Jessica Jung and her boyfriend Tyler Kwon shopping for baby clothes, they assumed the couple had baby plans of their own.
Shortly after the singer, actress and designer left Girls Generation, she was asked about her plans and said she was excited about new beginnings.
Reporters assumed her new beginnings included plans to marry her boyfriend Tyler Kwon. But she denied the rumors, saying she had no plans to marry.
He also denied the rumors.
In October he responded to the wedding rumors on Weibo, writing "Sigh, I guess we'll have to try this yet again: I have no plans of marriage any time soon, whether it be this year...next year...If that wasn't clear enough, let me know. I'll keep trying."
But according to the Chinese media outlet Sina, the couple is moving in that direction. They are living together. Sina says that following Jessica's leave from Girls Generation, she has been living in Hong Kong and moved to Tyler Kwon's apartment on Seymour Toad where they live together.
And then to spark even more rumors, the couple were spotted shopping for baby clothes at a mall in central Hong Kong. According to pictures shown by Hong Kong's HK Channel, they were openly affectionate and seemed delighted by the cute baby clothes they saw. They purchased an outfit. This does not mean they are having a baby but it can be interpreted as evidence that the couple is closer than ever.
Jessica Jung, who appeared in the drama 'Wild Romance," joined Girls Generation in 2007 and suddenly left in 2014. Jung, 25, has been working in China since she left Girls Generation. She is busy launching her fashion brand Blanc & Eclare.
Tyler Kwon is a Korean-American businessman. He is chairman and CEO of the Coridel Group, which includes Coridel Capital Partners, an assets management firm, as well as a film production company. He's also the chairman of Seoulcialite Group, a marketing firm that has worked with YG Entertainment and CJ E&M.
Jessica Jung and Tyler Kwon don't just have a romantic relationship. They now have a financial partnership. Coridel Captial Partners is a major investor in Blanc & Eclare. The company is privately owned and has no plans to seek outside investors.
Whether they marry and shop for more baby clothes is still anyone's guess.
