Watching Song Jae Rim and Kim So Eun play a happy couple on "We Got Married" does make viewers think they were meant for each other. According to the actor, it was destined. He says they were fated to meet. When he appeared on MBC's Section TV on Dec. 28, he spoke about the reason they have such onscreen chemistry and the fact that they almost met one time before.
"What we have in common is that she's free-spirited and doesn't act shy, which is why I think the production staff paired us together," he said.
They almost met before they were paired up for that program. They were up for roles in the same drama, although Song Jae Rim did not say which of his dramas it was.
"There was a chance for her to star in the same drama I was in, but unfortunately, she couldn't and missed out," he said. "I suppose those who are fated to meet will meet."
While appearing on the reality show the couple enjoyed a virtual wedding ceremony and a romantic honeymoon trip to Turkey. During the 12-hour flight to Istanbul, they sat together. He suggested they take a nap and joked that it was the first time they would sleep together. When they arrived in Turkey, they were surprised by a crowd of fans greeting them at the airport.
Song Jae Rim has charmed viewers by being physically affectionate with Kim So Eun and by continually complimenting her. He called her profile "stunning" and referred to her as a goddess. He told her that he could not talk to her because she was so pretty and on another occasion said that he might not sleep at night because of the way she looked at him.
He is not only generous with physical displays of affection but says he feels loved by her affectionate gestures. The actors are obviously so fond of each other and having such a good time on the show that it's easy for viewers to relate to them and wish them well.
Both actors are also currently enjoying career success. Kim So Eun just finished "The Liar Game" with co-stars Shin Sung Rok and Lee Sang Yoon. Song Jae Rim appears in "The Idle Mermaid" but his other recent dramas include "Two Weeks" with Lee Jun Ki" and "The Moon Embracing The Sun" with Kim Soo Hyun.
