One way to meet Lee Min Ho may be to get a job in an emergency room. The actor has been to the emergency room several times as a result of on-set injuries. His latest injuries took place while he was filming his first movie "Gangnam 1970."

At a recent red carpet showcase for the film, he mentioned some of his on-set injuries. He sustained injuries to his hands, his arms and feet with one of the most painful taking place because of an action scene that covered the actors in mud. That action scene took a week to film and several of the actors developed skin problems from contact with the mud.

"I went to the emergency room while filming the mud action scene," he said.

While filming that scene, Lee Min Ho injured his toe so badly that he lost a toenail.

"I couldn't film that day and filmed for three days afterwards by getting painkiller injections," he said.

But representatives of the production crew reported that in general the actor did not focus on his injuries. He seemed to expect that some injuries were part of the filming process.

"Of course I have to deal with these kinds of injuries while filming a movie," he said. "I didn't want to gather interest by announcing them publicly."

It is not the first time that Lee Min Ho has been injured on set. While filming a fight scene with Kim Woo Bin in the drama "The Heirs" Lee hurt his mouth and had to ice his face to ease the swelling.

He was also involved in accidents while working on "City Hunter." He was involved in a mid-shoot car accident in which the hood of his car completely crumpled. Lee Min Ho was rushed to the emergency room. The car was totaled but fortunately his injuries were minor. He also had glass shards removed from his leg after an on-set explosion. But he returned to the set as soon as he could.

If it were up to Lee Min Ho, he would never talk about his injuries, representatives of the film's production company told Newsen at the red carpet event. He's a very dedicated actor.

"Gangnam 1970" follows the friendship between two men, played by Lee and Kim Rae Won, in the midst of the dangerous land development battles in Seoul's Gangnam neighborhood during the 1970s. The film will premiere on January 21.
