29-year-old Christina Booth in Washington state has reportedly been charged with attempted murder of her 2-year-old toddler and 6-month-old twins, according to People.

Police reportedly stated that she slashed her children’s throats with a kitchen knife to keep them quiet for her soldier husband, according to ABC6 News.

Booth was reportedly arrested early Sunday morning at her home in Olympia, Washington. Thomas Booth reportedly told police his wife had been “very stressed out” raising the couple’s three children and was on medication for postpartum depression, according to court papers.

Booth and his wife had reportedly watched a movie at home on Saturday night and each had two large glasses of wine. The mother-of-three was reportedly intoxicated and slurring her words, according to her husband.

“This was not a blissful household, we learned,” Olympia Police Lt. Jim Costa told People.

He added, “There are dynamics between the husband and wife that caused from friction.”

Christina Booth reportedly stated that her husband “never helps with the children and that Thomas gets very annoyed when the children cry and make noise,” detectives stated in the probable cause account.

The twins reportedly started crying after she took the toddler up to bed, according to the document. The woman reportedly described going downstairs to get a knife from the dishwasher, then cutting her daughter’s throat with a knife and covering her with blankets.

She then reportedly cut the twins’ throats before calling 911.

“Christina said she knew if she killed all of the kids, the house would be quiet for Thomas,” the probable cause document said she told detectives.

The document continued, “During the interview, Christina broke down crying several times, yelled about Thomas never helping with the kids and vomited once. Christina made the comment ‘they will be quiet now’ several times.”

The Booths’ children were reportedly stable after surgery at a hospital a half-hour away from Tacoma and are now in protective custody.
