According to the specs from the Fuse Joplin, the Asus Zenfone C has 4.5 inch IPS LCD screen that can render a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels at 218 ppi pixel density, while the Samsung Z1 is equipped with PLS TFT display at 4 inches, and can render a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels at 233 ppi.

The Asus device has the following dimensions of 136.5 x 67 x 10.9 mm, and weighs around 149 grams, while the Samsung handset is at 120.4 x 63.2 x 9.7 mm, and weighs less than 112 grams.

Both smartphone are equipped with dual-core processors clocked a 1.2 GHz, however, the Asus handset is equipped with a Intel Atom Z2520 chipset and PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU. The Samsung handset on the other hand, has a Spreadtrum SC7727S chipset, and a Mali-400 for graphics. It software is the Android OS, v4.4.2 (KitKat)

The Asus smartphone has a bigger RAM capacity at 1GB, with an internal memory of 8GB that can expand up to 64GB. Meanwhile, the Samsung device has 768MB RAM capacity with a 4GB internal memory that expands also at 64GB. It runs on the Tizen OS, v2.3.

Both devices have VGA front cameras, but the Zenfone C is equipped with a bigger 5MP rear camera, while the Samsung Z1 is at 3.15MP. The Asus device has a 2100 mAh battery capacity beating the 1500 mAh battery of the Samsung Z1.

According to the Fuse Joplin, the Samsung Z1 is at $90, while the Asus Zenfone C is around $95.
