Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are going through a very public and semi-ugly divorce, but the basketball player still has support for his ex-wife’s stepfather.
35-year-old Lamar Odom and Bruce Jenner have reportedly been showing each other support; Odom has shown support for Jenner’s highly publicized transition and Jenner has stood by the former Lakers player’s relationship with his stepdaughter.
“Lamar’s always bonded with Bruce. They’ve got this athletic camaraderie and their bond is tough. Bruce was Lamar’s go-to man when he was going through the darkest stages of his life and struggling to find himself and save his marriage,” a source exclusively told HollywoodLife.com.
The insider added, “Bruce never gave up on him and really believes Khloe is Lamar’s soul mate.”
Despite what he’s going through with Khloe Kardashian, Lamar Odom is reportedly ready to support Bruce Jenner’s alleged transition into a woman.
“Lamar is absolutely supportive of Bruce, his new life and his transition,” a source told the media outlet, according to Design N Trend.
The insider continued, “Lamar will admire him and have the same respect for him as he always has. Nothing will change, except for calling him by his new name and referring to him as a woman, but Lamar hopes he and Bruce’s relationship will continue to thrive and flourish.”
Odom is reportedly not the only one that’s supportive of Jenner’s alleged transition. Kim Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West, is reportedly on board.
“He is totally fine with it,” a family source told People.
The insider added, “He believes in live and let live, and he took it all in stride. He and Kim are just trying to show Bruce love and acceptance — complete acceptance.”
Kourtney Kardashian’s boyfriend, Scott Disick, reportedly initially “didn’t react very well,” but is supportive now.
