Nicki Minaj and Drake may not be dating, as media outlets continue to speculate, but the “Only One” artists may most likely stick together in the feud between Lil Wayne and Birdman.
Lil Wayne’s feud with Birdman is reportedly getting serious as the “Start A Fire” rapper is reportedly planning on suing him in order to be released from his contract, according to Billboard.
Weezy is reportedly claiming that he’s owed $8 million advance for the upcoming “Tha Carter V” album and is demanding he leaves Cash Money Records with all Young Money artists, including Nicki Minaj, Drake, Christina Milian, Lil Twist and Mack Maine.
Whether the other artists will be involved in this feud has yet to be known as Birdman has reportedly played a big role in the majority of the Young Money artists’ careers.
“I’ve gotten so much closer to Wayne lately. Wayne is his own person. He’s a businessman and whatever decision Wayne makes, I would never in my life speak against it publicly, even if I didn’t agree,” Nicki Minaj told Power 106 LA in December.
She added, “Baby has always been one of my best friends in the game. And I know that they love each other; that’s family.”
The other Young Money artists have yet to speak on the feud between Lil Wayne and Birdman.
Although the future of Nicki Minaj and Drake is still unclear, one thing that the two artists have made clear is that they are not dating. The two have collaborated on multiple occasions, but their “playful” relationship remains professional.
“Me and Nicki have a really playful relationship. When I was on tour, I saw Nicki for the first time and, like, literally fell in love. She had this snap-back hat on that said ‘Minaj.’ She used to wear that every single day. She was like a theater student and she was so cold at rapping,” explained Drake, according to The Inquisitr.
Minaj has reportedly been rumored to be dating Meek Mill, who she met through her ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels.
