Kim So Eun and Song Jae Rim will have a candid discussion about dating on the February 14 episode of “We Got Married.” On February 12, the production team behind the popular variety show announced that the couple had met on February 9 to engage in an in-depth discussion about dating rumors which surrounding the actress and “Three Meals” star Son Ho Jun.
Nicknamed the LTE couple for the realism of their chemistry, Kim and Song are one of the most popular pairs currently featured on “We Got Married.”
According a member of the production team, the actress who starred in hits such as “Boys Over Flowers” and “Liar Game,” does not provide an explanation for her recent dating rumors during the Valentine's Day episode. Instead, she initiates a dialogue that is reciprocated by Song Jae Rim.
In a statement through Enews, a representative for “We Got Married” stated, “They shared their honest thoughts on dating rumors during filming that day.”
The current season of “We Got Married” has been plagued by dating scandals. Hong Jong Hyun found himself at the center of controversy in January 2015 when a tabloid published an article claiming that the actor was dating Nana of After School. Representatives for Hong and Nana denied the claims.
The dating scandal surrounding Kim and Son emerged after a news outlet published photos featuring the stars, while they were meeting in Gangnam and Hanamdong. A representative for Son's agency denied the claims on February 9 and told Newsen, “They are just close as an oppa and dongseng.”
Dating scandals surrounding the show have become increasingly prevalent, as fans speculate about the off-screen relationships of the “We Got Married” stars. “We Got Married” is a scripted variety show which premiered in 2008.
The program features K-pop idols and Korean drama stars who are placed into various scenarios which are normally experienced by married couples. With scenes that include wedding photo shoots and mock ceremonies, the show has developed into a popular vehicle for marketing Korean celebrities to a viewing audience that is predominantly female.
