Kang portrays Kyeong Jae, a college freshman who is driven to land a prominent position at a large corporation. In character photos released on February 16, the actor can be seen holding a business education textbook while exhibiting a wistful smile. The release date for “Twenty” has yet to be announced but the film is speculated to premier in March 2015.
“Twenty” follows the release of “C’est Si Bon” which ushered in the blitz of family films for the Lunar New Year. “C’est Si Bon” highlights the actor’s vocal talent which has previously been showcased through musical theater performances including “Spring Awakening.”
The actor has a similar portfolio to stars like Ji Chang Wook, who have seamlessly segued from the stage to dramas, followed by film. “C’est Si Bon” and “Twenty” are high profile projects but Kang has also shined in projects like the 2014 supernatural film “Mourning Grave.”
While his next Korean drama role has yet to be announced, the actor will also appear in the period film “Empire of Lust.” The film which is also known as “The Age of Innocence” features a star-studded cast including Jang Hyuk (Shine or Go Crazy) and Shin Ha Kyun (Mr. Baek). Kang portrays Jin in the film, which is scheduled to open on March 5.
