Review

*Warning* is a long review. I also want to say that I left a lot of details out, that you could only know about, by watching the drama.

Halfway through the drama, Harry has started to take revenge on Han Tae Joon (Han Jung Woo's dad) by offering deals worth a lot money, of course Han Tae Joon had no idea who really Harry was. While Harry was busy with his revenge Han Jung Woo now knows that Zoey is Lee Soo Yeon and he tries his best to always be her side, and slowly but surely Zoey seems to miss him and want more of him. Han Jung Woo really worked hard to have Lee Soo Yeon back.

In episode 10, Zoey and her mom finally meet, in one of the most waited and sad scenes of this drama, and Zoey confesses that she in fact is Lee Soo Yeon, but has no desired to return to her old life. However Zoey asked, if she could visit her mom sometimes, but her mom tells her that it was better to not contact each other, since she had no desired to be Lee Soo Yeon.

Harry is no longer the sweet, caring guy. He has become, a creepy, insane and jealous man. Now him and Zoey will always fight, and Han Jung Woo was always there when she cried.

Han Jung Woo and Lee Soo Yeon's romance started to bloom and we finally saw some smiles. These two people cried for 16 episodes straight.

As Harry's revenge continues, more killings happened, and Han Jung Woo, starts to slowly connect the dots, and he knows all of these killings had something to do with his dad and what happened 14 years ago.

As the last episodes approach, we learn that Harry's mom is not actually dead, but has gone insane. Thanks to this, Han Jung Woo is gathering more evidence. Harry decided to take revenge on Lee Soo Yeon for not loving him by framing her with a murder she didn't commit. At last Han Jung Woo finally realizes who Harry really is.

At the end is a mad hunt for Kang Hyung Joon/Harry. It was also discovered that Harry had killed Nurse Jung/Michelle Jung, and the real Harry Borrison's (The real Harry Borrison was Assistant Yoon, the right hand of Han Tae Joon) parents.

Harry went to take Lee Soo Yeon with him, since he knew he could not live without her, he was going to do whatever it took to take her with him. Since he was a wanted man, the police followed him and shoot him, but he escapes.

Han Tae Joon calls Lee Soo Yeon and takes her where Kang Hyung Joon/Harry was, which was the exact same place where Han Jung Woo and Lee Soo Yeon have been kidnapped 14 years ago.

Han Jung Woo and Kang Hyung Joon/Harry confront each other in a very dramatic scene and Kang Hyung Joon/Harry shoots Han Jung Woo in the shoulder blade. Police comes and shoots Kang Hyung Joon/Harry.

10 days goes by and Han Jung Woo wakes up. He and Lee Soo Yeon had a sweet scene and we are fast forwarded 10 months later. Han Jung Woo is still the Crazy Rabbit detective, only difference now, was that he can go home to Lee Soo Yeon, his “Girlfriend” (Lee Soo Yeon's mom), Detective Kim's daughter, his younger sister and step mom.

Lee Soo Yeon and Han Jung Woo visit Kang Hyung Joon/Harry at a hospital where is being held. It turns out he had lost all of his memories, due to blood loss when was shot. At the hospital, he doesn’t speak and does not recognize anybody.

After Lee Soo Yeon and Han Jung Woo leave the hospital, they realize it's snowing for the first time that year and so they go marry, by themselves, in little chapel.

As the last scene, they shows us a scene of what could have been the way they should have met. It was really emotional. And with that the drama ends.
This drama was very hard in the emotions department for its viewers. We had to witness their sad story, her horrible tragedy, they way Han Jung Woo suffered for 14 years of not knowing anything about his first love, and just holding into his last bits of hope. We saw he pain of a mother who had lost her one and only daughter in a very tragic way.

Thankfully not all of it was bad. Han Jung Woo was able to form a little family with Lee Soo Yeon's mom and the bond they form was so strong. Han Jung Woo met amazing friends at the police station. One of my favorite things about this drama, was his friendship with Joo Jung Myung (Oh Jung Se), his “wife.” I love how his best friend, his partner in crime knew, understood, trusted and supported Han Jung Woo in every way.

Even though Lee Soo Yeon went through so much at a young age, she didn’t live bad herself. She had money, was able to study fashion, and had Harry who despite everything, loved and cared for her for 14 years.

And that brings me to Kang Hyung Joon or Harry Borrison. He was my favorite character in the drama. I got attracted to his character, because I honestly felt so bad for him. He was the victim of greed and money hunger that both his mother and his brother had. His life was destroyed for money. He grew up with revenge on his mind, he had no dreams of a better life, he only wanted to make Han Tae Joon pay for his horrible acts. It is understandable, but we all know that living for the sole propose of taking revenge, never ends well. I was agonizing every time he cried. I could see the lost boy in him, every time Lee Soo Yeon was not around. He was so dependent of her, that I knew from the start that he will be the only one in pain at the end. I like the way he ended, because it was either that or death.

I loved how Han Jung Woo made Lee Soo Yeon fall in love with him all over again. He was completely devoted to her, he never really gave up. Even she rejected him, his confidence in having her back after all that time, was very pleasing to see.

All in all, “I Miss You” was a great drama, it is not your typical K-drama with the rich-boy-meets-poor-girl-and-fall-hopelessly-in-love theme. It did have the first love theme, but what drama knew how to work around it. It was definitely a melodrama in every sense of the word, and I encourage you to give it a try. You will get addicted, I promise.
