Oscar De La Hoya feels that the WBC/WBA welterweight and junior middleweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. is pressured into accepting the fight with Manny Pacquiao, Boxing Scene reported.

"I do feel that Mayweather was pressured into this fight," said De La Hoya. "I believed that Mayweather was boxed in from the pressure coming from (CBS CEO) Les Moonves, the pressure coming from (Top Rank CEO) Bob Arum, the pressure coming from Pacquaio and the pressure coming from Golden Boy."

De La Hoya also added that most fans have been waiting for Mayweather and Pacquiao to fight in the boxing ring and as long as the fans are happy and enjoy the fight, he said that "that's all that matters."

Furthermore, De La Hoya's company is planning to have an event on May 2 with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez against James Kirkland.

Moreover, according to Newsday, the ESPN commentator Teddy Altas said that Mayweather and Pacquiao fight might not be great but it will be the greatest fight of all time.

Altas added that the WBO champion Pacquiao has a chance to defeat Mayweather.

"The greatest strength of Mayweather is his greatest weakness, he's so defensive that he gives you a chance to go to work while Pacquiao's hand speed gives him an opportunity to outhustle Mayweather and grab some rounds...Floyd's great, but Pacquaio has a chance," Altas said.

On the other hand, Ricky Hatton, who had fought with Pacquiao in 2006, shares some advice with the Filipino boxer, saying that he must use the same tactics that he had used with De La Hoya.

The Filipino boxer Pacquiao, an eight-division world champion, has 57 wins and five losses, while American boxer Mayweather still unbeaten in 47 professional fights.

The fight of the century will be at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas Nevada on May 2.
