Kim Ye Won became the center of controversy on March 3 when it was revealed that she was insulted by Lee Tae Im during a taping of the reality show, “My Young Tutor Friend.” As reported by allkpop, Lee allegedly became irate when Kim asked if she was cold after the actresses spent time filming swimming scenes.

When Kim asked if Lee was cold, she reportedly received a harsh response. The report from allkpop quotes an unnamed source who was allegedly present for the confrontation between the two stars. This unnamed source stated, “At the time, Yewon had not used the informal speech with Lee Tae Im, but Lee Tae Im started to raise her voice and started to throw curses at Yewon, shocking everyone on set.”

Lee Tae Im is an actress whose most recent starring role included mean girl-turned-doctor Joo Da Hae in the 2014 series “Wild Chives and Soybean Soup.” She has reportedly departed from “My Young Tutor Friend” after the alleged incident.

It should be noted that “We Got Married” star Namgoong Min was the male lead of “Wild Chives and Soybean Soup” but this was not an issue in the confrontation between the two actresses.

Star Empire, the agency representing Kim, acknowledged that she was cursed at by Lee but did not confirm that there was an argument between the two drama stars.

Kim is a former member of Jewelry who has maintained a successful acting career with roles in "Reply 1997" and "Hotel King." She is one of the latest stars to be cast for the scripted reality series, “We Got Married.” She was cast to appear with Super Junior-M’s Henry Lau, as one of the couples who will replace departing stars Namgoong Min, Hong Jin Young, Hong Jong Hyun and Kim Yura.

Her “We Got Married” groom showed his support for the singer-turned-actress through a post on his Twitter account (@henrylau89).

On March 4, the 25-year-old idol posted a reassuring statement, which has since been removed. His statement was recorded by the Kpop Herald. In a report on the Kpop Herald, Lau said, “I hope you guys can support Yewon as much as you support me.”

Kim and Lau will join CNBLUE’s Lee Jonghyun and actress Gong Seung Yeon for the March 14 episode of “We Got Married.” Fan favorites Kim So Eun and Song Jae Rim will remain on the series.
