CJ Entertainment recently released information for the North American theater premier of the hit coming-of-age film, “Twenty.” “Twenty” stars Kim Woo Bin, Kang Ha Neul and 2PM’s Junho as a trio of friends who are struggling with the trails of young adulthood.
The highly-anticipated film that has been making waves at the Korean box-office incorporates slapstick humor with dramatic elements.
The film serves as the follow-up role for Kim Woo Bin, who recently starred in the action-heist movie, "The Technicians." He embraces his comedic side in the film as Chi Ho, a ladies man who has a girlfriend but relentlessly pursues other women. The world is his oyster until a mishap forces him to deal with Eun Hye (Jung Joo Yeon), a young starlet.
Junho makes his triumphant film return, following the success of “Cold Eyes.” He portrays Dong Ho, a comic illustrator, whose family has financial problems. He works several part-time jobs while waiting to take the college entrance exam.
"Twenty" provides another opportunity to see Kang Ha Neul on the big screen. He recently led the cast of the period films "C'est Si Bon" and "Empire of Lust." He portrays Gyung Jae, a college freshman who aspires to land a lucrative position at a large corporation. His sister, So Hee (Lee Yoo Bi), is infatuated with his friend Dong Ho. Gyung Jae initially has his eyes set on the workplace until he falls in love with Jin Joo, an older college student.
The film is written and directed by Lee Byeong Han, whose screenwriting credits include “Love Forecast,” “Tazza: The Hidden Card,” and “Sunny.”
“Twenty” is scheduled to open in select theaters in several U.S. and Canadian cities including New York, Los Angeles, Dallas and Las Vegas. For showtimes and ticket information, visit the website for CJ Entertainment.
