April 16, 2014 marked a tragic date in modern Korean history, when 304 passengers were killed in the Sewol Ferry accident. Most of the passengers were high school students, which made the tragedy even more heartwrenching.

On April 16, 2015, Koreans mourned the deaths of the Sewol Ferry passengers. "Twenty" star Kim Woo Bin was recognized for his touching letter to a fan who perished in the accident.

In the letter that was published by enews, the 25-year-old actor acknowledged his unnamed fan, who was designated as OO in the report. The letter was initially translated into English in a report by Soompi.

One of the most touching sentences in the letter focuses on his commitment to his fan, even though the person is now deceased. "I have recently returned from a fan meeting in China, which went well thanks to you," Kim said.

He went to express his sorrow. "The place you are in is now much prettier than here," said Kim.

His co-star from "The Heirs," Lee Min Ho also recognized the Sewol Ferry victims. The actor used social media to share a simple photo of a yellow ribbion with the phrase, "remember 2014.04.16." He infrequently updates his Facebook account, which has more than 16 million followers, but utilized the medium for his Sewol message.

Park Shin Hye, who continued to honor the Sewol Ferry victims for a lengthy period of time past many other stars, also used social media to recognize the tragedy. She posted a photo to her Instagram account, which poignantly reflected on the youth of the school-age victims who died in the accident.

She provides the analogy of the deceased as being having the fragility of flowers. "Kids who were as beautiful as flowers in the full bloom of youth, have flown away like flower petals," Park said.

She cautioned those who were reading her post not to forget the victims or the accident. "If you cease to hold onto it, it will be forgotten," Park said. "If you do not remember, it will be forgotten."

4 victims of the Sewol Ferry accident continue to be unnaccounted for. Koreans continue to question the details surrounding the tragedy, with many expressing outrage at the fact that the ferry is still submerged.
