On April 22, the Korean outlet Xports News published an article which reportedly featured the a surprising body double who was cast for stunt scenes featuring Yoona of Girls' Generation for her Chinese drama, "Wu Zhen Zhao Zi Long." In the report, a side-by-side photo was used to demonstrate the contrast between Yoona and a male actor who was similarly clothed in a yellow traditional dress. The article attributes the director as the reason for the vast difference in the body types of the K-pop idol and the stunt double. While the divide between the acting idol and her body double may be drastic, the rationale behind the casting could be due to the rigorous stunts that are performed for the series.

In January 2015, it was reported that Yoona had narrowly escape serious injuries while filming "Wu Zhen Zhao Zi Long," which is also known as "God of War Zhao Yun." Yoona was nearly thrown from the back of of a startled horse, while filming a horseback riding scene. Fortunately, her co-star, Chinese actor Lin Gengxin, grabbed the idol before she fell.

In "Wu Zhen Zhao Zi Long," Yoona portrays Xiahou Qing Yi, the lover of Zhao Yun. The series is based on the historical novel "Romance of the Three Kingdoms."

Yoona has one of the most significant acting resumes of the Girls' Generation members. Her breakout role was in the 2008 KBS drama, "You Are My Destiny." She followed her appearance in the series with her portrayal of Seo Yoo Jin in the 2009 MBC melodrama, "Cinderella Man." She has starred in several Korean television series including "Love Rain" and "Prime Minister and I."

"Wu Zhen Zhao Zi Long" will air 60 episodes on the mainland Chinese network, Hunan TV. The series is scheduled to premiere in August 2015.
