Kim Soo Hyun will return to Korean television on May 15 with the highly anticipated series, "Producer." His role in "Producer" follows a year long absence from K-Drama, which followed the meteoric success of the pan-Asian hit "My Love From The Star." He has grown into an actor whose performances are filled with poise and grace but his role in "Producer" will draw on his comedic timing. He portrays Baek Seung Chan, a bumbling rookie producer, who could be as awkward as Song Sang dong from "Dream High."
The 27-year-old actor has successfully established a career in television and film, through his stirring delivery of emotionally charged scenes. He received positive attention from critics for his overwhelming delivery of crying scenes in the 2012 period drama, "The Moon Embracing The Sun" and touched the hearts of viewers as Do Min Joon in "My Love From The Star." One of the biggest challenges for actors is crying on cue for a role but he has mastered by art of transitioning from comedy to tear-filled scenes.
Lee Jong Suk has also mastered the elusive art of crying on cue, while delivering convincing performances in melodramatic scenes. His portrayal of Park Soo Ha in the 2013 drama "I Can Hear Your Voice" provided some of the most iconic moments of Korean drama. He topped the emotional complexity of his crying scenes in "I Can Hear Your Voice" with his portryal of Choi Dal Po in "Pinocchio."
Lee has also successfully transitioned into a leading film star, with his portrayal of Jin Hyeong in the 2013 period hit "The Face Reader," serving as one of his most memorable roles.
