Teen actress Kim So Hyun and EXO's D.O are included in the cast of the upcoming film, "Pure Love." On May 29, Sports Hankook published the casting announcement of the melodrama. D.O and Kim are cast the primary couple within the film, who experience untainted and innocent love. The supporting cast of the film includes Joo Da Young (Masked Prosecutor), David Lee (Who Are You) and Yoon Joon Suk (Reply 1994). "Pure Love" marks the full-length directorial debut of Lee Eun Hee.
"Pure Love" focuses on first love through the exploits that are illustrated in a letter that was delivered from a rural village. The letter is subsequently read on a live radio broadcast. The film is described in the report published by Sports Hankook as "a melodrama of modern people living in bleak reality."
"Pure Love" will serve as the second major film role for D.O. In 2014, he debuted as an actor in "Cart." D.O portrayed Choi Tae Young, a high school student whose mother was wrongfully dismissed from her job as a grocery store employee. He followed his role in "Cart" with his dramatic and compelling performance in the psychological drama, "It's Okay, That's Love." D.O received several awards for his portrayal of Han Kang Woo in the series. In addition to his music activities with EXO, he also appeared with the group in the hit web series, "EXO Next Door."
Kim So Hyun is currently portraying the dual roles of Lee Eun Bi and Go Eun Byul in the teen drama, "Who Are You: School 2015." The 15-year-old actress has an extensive film and television career.
