Ji Sung revealed that he and wife Lee Bo Young are expecting a baby girl, during his guest appearance on the June 5 episode of "Three Meals a Day." The sex of their baby was previously unknown.
A report published by the Korean outlet Hankyung detailed the dialogue. In the segment, the "Kill Me, Heal Me" star was warmly greeted by "Three Meals a Day" cast member, Kim Kwang Gu. Prior to their meeting, Kim was asked whether he was familiar with Ji. He responded, "Ji Sung came to the set of a drama I did with Lee Bo Young."
Kim portrayed Judge Kim Gong Sook in the hit 2013 drama, "I Can Hear Your Voice." Lee Bo Young portrayed the female lead in the series, opposite Lee Jong Suk.
The two actors proceeded to exchange friendly banter before Kim asked Ji, "Has your baby arrived?" "We have three weeks left," said Ji.
Kim then began to jokingly prod Ji to discover the sex of the child. After the question was presented several times, he provided a response. "It's a daughter," said the expectant father.
Ji Sung and Lee Bo Young were married in September 2013. They are expecting their first child. The couple met on-set while filming the 2004 series, "Save the Last Dance for Me."
In addition to revealing the sex of his child, Ji invigorated the set of "Three Meals a Day," by resurrecting his character Yo Na from "Kill Me, Heal Me."
Ratings for "Three Meals a Day" continue to increase, with the June 5 episode recording 9.1 percent of cable viewers nationwide. The 38-year-old followed the success of the recent guest appearance by Park Shin Hye.
