Taraji P. Henson channeled her inner Cookie Lyon as she hit the red carpet for the Monte Carlo Television Festival along with "Empire" co-star Terrence Howard on Saturday.

"The 44-year-old stunned in a beaded mini-dress as she posed on the red carpet ahead of a special screening of the popular Fox series, noted Daily Mail. "Taraji wore a short-sleeved, semi-sheer beige dress, which hit at the actress's mid-thigh, showing off her toned legs."

"The stunning mini-dress was decorated with elaborate beading throughout, in a floral pattern in shades of olive green, ivory, and soft pink," it added.

Taraji P. Henson certainly made impression for her portrayal of ex-convict Cookie and fans have agreed as "Empire" was adjudged as the best pilot show in 10 years, at least according to the numbers.

"The 9 PM hour of last night's Empire was up 19% from its March 11 show among the 18-49s. It is also the best any regular scheduled drama has done on the Big 4 since the 7.2/17 that CSI pulled in on October 9, 2008," said Deadline.

And Taraji P. Henson wouldn't have reaped all her success if she gave in to her fear of playing Cookie Lyon on "Empire."

The actress previously said that she was even upset that her agent has sent her the script to begin with.

"Cookie scared the hell out of me. I said, 'F- it all, I'm going back to theater.' I just wasn't fulfilled in what I was doing, and I felt lazy, and I felt like I needed to sharpen the tools again," she told The Hollywood Reporter.

"I was petrified. But for me, that fear means it's a challenge that I had to take on. Because if it doesn't shake me up, then why am I doing it?" she added.

Now that her performance in "Empire" has turned heads, Taraji P. Henson joked that she doesn't want to hear anything about Cookie Lyon.

She quipped, "I hate that bitch Cookie. She has stolen my identity. I'm getting called Cookie everywhere. My friends don't want to talk to me unless it's about Cookie."
