On June 19, YG Entertainment released preview videos for the upcoming web drama, "We Broke Up." "We Broke Up" stars 2NE1's Dara (Sandara Park) as a disgruntled young woman who is forced into cohabitation with her ex-boyfriend.

Kang Seung Yoon portrays her former lover. The couple exchanged barbs in the teaser video, which features reality show style confessional shots.

Dara recently completed the web series, "Dr. Ian" and delivered a cameo performance in "Producer." The 30-year-old idol and actress displays believable chemistry with Kang, that is paired with the level of distrust that evolves from failed relationships.

While she is known by international audiences for her singing career as a member of 2NE1, Dara debuted as an actress in the Philippines in 2004. In 2005, she appeared in her first prominent film role in the Filipino project, "Can This Be Love."

Kang delivered cameo appearances, alongside Dara, in "Producer." He is best known for his work with the breakout male group, WINNER and his 2013 solo release, "Wild and Young." His first significant acting role was opposite Lee Jong Suk and Krystal of f(x) in the family drama, "High Kick 3: Revenge of the Short Legged."

Based on a Naver webtoon, "We Broke Up" is the first major dramatic project from YG. The series will be co-directed by Kim Young Wan, who was previously responsible for the popular drama, "Love Cells." With more than 600 million views, "Love Cells" helped to usher in the growing web drama trend.

"We Broke Up" will also prominently feature models-turned-actors, who are represented by YG KPlus, including Ford Supermodel of the World, Kang Seung Hyun.

Web series have become a prominent vehicle for showcasing idols, particularly those who are interested in pursuing acting careers. Recent successes include GOT7's "Dream Knight" and the EXO hit, "EXO Next Door."
