On June 25, SM Entertainment responded to an exclusive report published by the Korea Herald which purported the departure of Sulli from the dance-pop group, f(x). Sulli is rumored to depart from f(x) to pursue an acting career. Representatives for the agency directly responded to the claims through statements published by OSEN and several other outlets.

According to the article published by OSEN, Sulli has not decided to depart from the group, but the agency is cautiously deciding its next steps. A representative for SM Entertainment told OSEN, "Sulli is leaving? Nothing has been decided. We will be cautious in making future promotion decisions."

Their statement addressed the Korea Herald report which was reported from unnamed sources within SM Entertainment.

"While Sulli is leaving f(x), she will continue her relationship with SM Entertainment until her contract expires," said the Korea Herald. "Krystal, Victoria, Luna and Amber will prepare to come back as a four-member group."

Sulli has been inactive from Korean entertainment and promotional activities since requesting a break in July 2014. This followed an alleged barrage of harassment from anti-fans, who supposedly spread vicious rumors about the idol through social media. Her hiatus from f(x) occurred in the midst of "Red Light" activities, which led to a shorter period of promotions for the group.

Her issues with anti-fans followed rumors which paired the f(x) member with Dynamic Duo's Choiza. Representatives for both sides continued to deny their relationship, before confirming that the couple was dating on August 19, 2014.
