Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross chose a rockstar name for their baby girl as the couple was aiming for something fun and different with their firstborn.

The couple posted a note on his Instagram which read, "We are overjoyed after the birth of our precious baby girl Jagger Snow Ross July 30 2015." The "Hunger Games: Mockingjay" actor also wrote the caption, "I love you #JaggerSnowRoss we love you."

One wrote, "LOVE her name !! Hope she looks just like your mama and has her talent too. Congrats."

Another said, "I bet she's beautiful. Can't wait to see her precious little face. Congrats @realevanross @ashleesimpsonross."

But one fan isn't quite sold on the name of Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross' baby girl, writing, "Jagger? Poor baby she's going to be teased for life. Lol. Congrats Evan and Ashlee!!"

One fan commented, "I like Snow , Jagger ? God bless your baby girl @realevanross you are already feeling different your attitude towards life is different from now on."

A source explained to E! News Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross' choice of the name for their baby girl.

"The couple had their minds set on this name for a long time. They wanted something fun and different," the insider dished.

Evan Ross also told E! how lucky he feels for being married to Ashlee Simpson.

He said, "I've never met a person in my life that makes me feel, you know, so content and supportive of what I'm doing and I'm supportive of what she's doing and two creative people that just want to be creative around each other, it's brilliant."

"We understand each other and we care about the same things and we look out for each other the same kind of way," he continued. "I love Bronx more than anything, he's the greatest kid in the world and his father is amazing."

Aside from her baby girl, Ashlee Simpson has a five-year-old son with former husband Pete Wentz.
