Johnny Depp surprised all! He made a full-force return as Captain Jack Sparrow at the D23 Expo Saturday, wowing the crowd with his slurring and grape-throwing skills, according to USA Today. He was promoting the Johnny Depp movie. 'Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,' will release in two years.
USA TODAY's Bryan Alexander said Depp came out onstage dressed in his full Jack Sparrow costume. It was evident that no one can mess with the "Captain." The captain was slurring and swaggering and was eating grapes from his hands as he surveyed the crowd.
According to USA Today, Depp then asked if anyone was allergic to grapes before going off on a rant about them and throwing them into the audience:
"I hate grapes. I despise the rotten little things."
Before he was forced to leave the stage, Depp as Sparrow then threatened to sing. However, this was not before Depp got a word in about how his "Disney Legend" award was actually more of a "Disney Lesion" award.
Johnny Depp was promoting his movie, 'Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. The film is scheduled for release in theaters July 7, 2017. Orlando Bloom was also confirmed to return for the film.
His appearance onstage was a surprise as it wasn't announced earlier. So, everyone went frenzy when he showed up at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Even the Johnny Depp was a little hazy on the details. "I don't know why I'm here," Depp joked, taking the stage for a speech.
"Naturally, Depp got distracted midway through his speech by a mosquito, and whipped out his Jack Sparrow accent to the delight of the crowd-before telling his cheering fans that they were all his employers." USA Today said.
