The "Bitch Better Have My Money" singer took Matt Barnes to task on Sunday. This outrage was because the NBA player ensured that the fire of dating rumors flared up.
The incident happened when a TMZ cameraman stopped Barnes and asked him is 'there was a thing' between him and Rihanna. According to TMZ, the duo had been on two dates recently.
Barnes' soon-to-be ex-wife, Gloria Govan, sounded off about the whole "Matt-Rihanna" relationship news. She said that she is "pro-happiness." She also added that she definitely wouldn't turn down some free concert tickets from Barnes' new boo, according to Rolling Stone.
35 -year-old Matt replied: "Rihanna's my friend right now, so we'll see where it goes. I think it's just past the crush stage, just a little bit."
The Memphis Grizzlies athlete also added: "We're friends, and we'll see where it goes from there."
Rihanna's responded through Instagram stating that "however, it's going nowhere -- or nowhere good, at least." The "FourFiveSeconds" hitmaker, 27, put Barnes on blast for his comments, sharing a screenshot of his TMZ interview with several telling hashtags, reported US Magazine, .
According to Rolling Stone, she responded by calling him out in front of her 24.5 million followers on Instagram with hashtags like "#thedevilisaliar" and "#defamationofcharacter." She even claimed the two have never met, which does not reflect well on Barnes.
Recently, Rihanna has also been linked with Formula One champion (and Nicole Scherzinger's ex) Lewis Hamilton. Both of them have been spotted together on a yacht in Barbados earler this month and on several other occasions together.
