If you are planning on baking a cake for Jung Il Woo's birthday on September 9, don't bother. He's planning on doing some baking himself. And he has invited a few fans to help.

The actor recently posted the news of a special baking event on his Instagram account. He invited fans to join him in baking some birthday cakes.

"Our high-class baking class on September 4. I′m going to have to practice baking starting today in order to repay all of your interest. Join me in sharing on my birthday."

But he is not actually baking the cake for himself. He will bake a cake as a way to make memories with his fans, but he also plans to donate the cakes that are made to a children's hospital in Seoul. He will personally hand out the cakes to the children in the hospital.

His baking post received an overwhelming response. On August 23, Jung Il Woo invited 36 fans to come and join him on a first come, first served basis and within seconds all the spots were filled. More than 200 people applied for the weekday event.

Chef Jung Ji Won will help out with the event. Jung Il Woo says he plans to do some baking during the three-hour class but he will also share some baking tips with the fans.

The baking event will be a different kind of celebration from the one he enjoyed on his last birthday. Last year his fans delivered a birthday cake and feast for the cast and staff of his drama "Diary of a Night Watchman." Jung Il Woo also passed out presents on that day, giving the drama staff sweaters.

Jung Il Woo's next project will be the Korean-Chinese web drama known as "High Class Crush." The drama also stars Jin Se Yeon and Bora and is expected to air in October. In this web drama Jung plays the CEO of an IT company who falls for a poor girl with a formula for a new mobile love app. How can you tell if you are really in love. With the right app you can be sure. Jung Il Woo's character will naturally have to test out the app.

Jung Il Woo debuted in the thriller "World of Silence" in 2006. He is best known for the dramas "Flower Boy Ramen Shop," "My Fair Lady," "49 Days," "The Moon Embracing The Sun," and "Golden Rainbow."

Here's wishing Jung Il Woo a sweet happy birthday celebration!
