CNBlue's bassist and rapper Lee Jung Shin is going to try his hand at swordplay. The band's youngest-and tallest-member has signed on to play a warrior in the upcoming KBS drama, "Sword and Flower." He already appeared in two dramas, playing Kang Sung Jae in "My Daughter, Seo Young" and doing a cameo in "My Husband Got A Family." He won praise for his performance in "My Daughter, Seo Young."

In "Sword and Flower," Lee will play the role of Si Woo, Goguryeo's greatest swordsman. Si Woo serves King Young Ryu, ruler of Goguryeo from 618 to 642. King Young Ryu was not well liked after he lost the kingdom to China's Tang dynasty, despite a long history of military victories against them. The king was assassinated by military leader Yeon Gae So Mun.

Lee Jung Shin's noble and charismatic warrior loves the king's daughter, Princess Mu Young, played by Kim Ok Bin. He lives to shadow and protect her.

Of course there will be a love triangle and plenty of confict. Because despite the devotion of Lee's character, the princess does not love him. Instead, she loves Yeon Chang, played by Uhm Tae Woong. She loves Yeon Chang despite the fact that he is the son of the man who murdered her father. Torn between love and revenge, she eventually decides to become a spy.

Princess Mu Young will Kim Ok Bin's first drama role in seven years. She has been focusing on film roles, most recently "AM 11:00" and "Behind the Camera."

Earlier in the year, Park Shin Hye was considering the role of the princess Mu Young, but chose instead to appear in "The Heirs" with Lee Min Ho.

Uhm Tae Woong also comes to his role from a series of films. He played the lead role of Kim Seon Woo in last year's film, "The Equator Man." He is currently finishing the movie, "Top Star," and is a popular regular on the KBS TV show, "I Night, 2 Days."

Park Su Jin will play Mo Seol. She played Cha Do Whee in the drama "Flower Boys Next Door" and Song Soo Jin in "My Husband Got A Family."

Kim Yong Soo I of "White Christmas" and "Equator Man" will lead the production. Kwon Min Soo of "Bodyguard" and "Mom Is Pretty Too" is the writer for the series. The show will air in July, following "Heaven's Order."
