Hillary Clinton On Ellen, Host To 3 Million Viewers; 'A Nod From Degeneres Could Mean Significant Increase In Support From Women'

Hillary Clinton met a 5 year-old miniature version of herself in blue coat and blue pants at the Ellen Degeneres show. Talking to 5-year old presidential expert, Macey Hensley, at the show, she also opened up about her granddaughter, Charlotte.

She was approached by the host on the matter of being a Grandmother. Ellen was referring to her grand-daughter Charlotte, who turns one year old this month. Ellen wanted to know what does Charlotte calls Mrs Clinton. She replied that she doesn't call her anything as, "she doesn't have many words yet." However, she expressed that she will be fine with GrandMa or Madame President, whatever strike's Charlotte's fancy.

She also repeated her apology on using private email server as Secretary of State and expressed her view that Democratic candidate did not have much concrete things to offer during his first debate, reported USA Today.

The show was aired on Thursday night after Caitlyn Jenner who is a transgender and an Olympic champion. Ellen DeGeneres interview with Hillary Clinton will be Clinton's fifth interview since declaring her candidacy for the upcoming Presidential elections.

The show's format has one of the warm hearted approach rather than grilling or mocking tones as on other reality talk shows. This can brighten up the chances for Hilary Clinton to reach out to larger population of women who would like to listen to the humane side of her candidacy besides policy speeches or political fiasco.

Last season, Ellen DeGeneres show had more than 3 million viewers every day. Thus, an approval from Ellen DeGeneres could mean a potential increase in support of Mrs Clinton, said The Telegraph UK.

Ellen DeGeneres also queried about doubts being raised for her candidature to be too old to run for a president, reported CBS News. She replied to stating that she considered herself to be would be the youngest woman ever elected president of the United States.
