The latest "Grey's Anatomy" season 12 spoilers suggest that the premiere episode, titled "Sledgehammer," will focus on bullying.

"Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital springs into action to save the lives of two young girls whose powerful story will force some of the doctors to revisit the effects of bullying on their own pasts," the synopsis read, via International Business Times.

It was also revealed that the fate of Jackson (Jesse Williams) and April's relationship (Sarah Drew) will be revealed in the coming episode.

In the recent 2015 Television Critics Association summer press tour, Shonda Rhimes revealed that fans of Japril may not be happy when "Grey's Anatomy" returns for season 12. Spoilers suggest that the couple may eventually break up.

"They are in a difficult spot now," Rhimes told Entertainment Weekly.

"April's really changed and she's really done this thing that's not necessarily the best thing for their marriage and Jackson's not happy about it."

In the season 11 finale, viewers saw Jackson giving April an ultimatum. He said that if she plans to continue her military work, their marriage may just be over.

Shonda Rhimes shared that the writers are trying to make the coming season a lighter one, in spite of all the dramatic revelations expected to unfold.

"This is a lighter season, we found funny ways to tell what's a very emotional story - more of a charming way to tell an emotional story, but it is still emotional and they are still figuring it out," she shared.

"April is fighting for things to be better. I honestly haven't decided how it's going to turn out. I love them together, so we'll see."
