The British Olympic diver Tom Daley announced his engagement with his long-term boyfriend Dustin Lance Black in the Times newspaper.
The 21-year-old British diver who is also a famous TV personality has announced his engagement with his boyfriend Black in the births, marriages and deaths sections of the Times newspaper. Black who is a screenwriter, director, film and TV producer has the proud possession of Oscar award to add to his credits. The 41-year-old US citizen won the best original screenplay Oscar in 2008 for the movie "Milk," according to BBC.
Daley's engagement note read: "The engagement is announced between Tom, son of Robert and Debra Daley of Plymouth, and Lance, son of Jeff Bisch of Philadelphia and Anne Bisch of Lake Providence," reported Telegraph.
Daley first announced his love for a man in a YouTube video back in 2011 where he noted his world changed because of his newly found love. He said that his life changed that spring when he met someone special who made him feel very happy and safe. Daley noted that though he fancied girls he was dating a guy who made him feel good and secure.

The diver who won bronze medal in the 10m platform in the London Olympics is qualified for 2016 Rio Olympics which is scheduled to happen in August. He noted lately that qualifying for Rio Olympics was a great relief to him. Daley competed in 2008 Olympians when he was only 14 years old; he was also one of the youngest British Olympic contenders.
Daley told newsbeat when he was asked if his sexuality has a role to play in sports that "I don't think there should be any reason for there to be any discrimination or homophobia or anything like that in sport because sport is the one place where you're judged on performance and nothing else."
