Seohyun of Girls Generation is making her big screen acting debut in a Chinese film titled "I Married An Anti-Fan." She will play an idol trainee with a crush on EXO's Chanyeol.

The film stars Chanyeol and Chinese actors Yuan Shanshan and Jing Chiao. The film's story is based on a webtoon. As you might guess from the title, the film tells the story of an ordinary reporter who marries a male celebrity after being his anti-fan. The hardworking reporter did not start out hating the celebrity. She snapped an incriminating photo of the pop idol dumping a girl and he was so mad that he asked her magazine to fire her. Broke and bitter, the reporter goes on a campaign to destroy the idol's life.

Since the reporter inevitably marries the idol, he must learn some manners and she must learn to forgive him.

Seohyun, whose birth name is Seo Joo Hyun, has a supporting role in the film. She plays Jung Yong Hyun, a junior trainee at the same entertainment company as the character played by Chanyeol's character Joon Hoo. She can't help but fall for the attractive idol.

Seohyun is primarily a musical actress, having appeared in musicals such as "Gone With The Wind" and "The Moon Embracing The Sun." Next year she will star in the musical "Mamma Mia." She did have a supporting role in the 2013 SBA drama "Passionate Love." And she also had cameos in the drama's "Producers" and "Warm and Cozy" and a cameo in the film "My Brilliant Life." Plus, she did the Korean dubbing for the role of Edith in the animated films "Despicable Me" and "Despicable Me 2." This year she also appeared on the variety show "Take Care Of My Dad."

The singer-turned actress left for Shanghai on November 2 to begin filming the movie.

Seohyun is a member of Girls Generation and its subgroup TTS.
