After working together for half of a year-and filming some sweet kissing scenes-it's not surprising that actor Jo Jung Suk can't stop talking about his "You're The Best Lee Soon Shin" co-star IU.
During an interview for the film "The Face Reader," he was asked about the actress who played the title role in the 50-episode drama. IU played Lee Soon Shin, a girl who feels inferior to her two successful older sisters. Eventually she discovers her own path and realizes her dreams. Helping her on that path was the talent agent Joon Ho, played by Jo Jung Suk. Joon Ho not only discovers Lee Soon Shin's talents and helps make her star. He falls in love with her.
In real life, Jo Jung Suk is also a fan of IU's talent.
"I think IU is an all-around entertainer," said Jo. "She can do everything so it's right to call her that."
IU is both a successful singer and actress, having released successful albums in Korea and Japan and having appeared in a few dramas, including "Dream High." She also served as an emcee on the music show "Inkigayo."
"It surprises me whenever I see IU," said Jo. "I become more curious about her every time I see her. There's nothing she can't do, whether it's acting or singing or hosting. I think she does it all well."
He also thinks that she is very cute.
"She can cheer up everyone around her," said Jo. "She got a lot of love from the older actors on set as well because she's very mature for her age. It's because she is so mature that her acting was so nuanced. You can't help but wonder about her. She was born to be an entertainer."
The drama ended on a positive note with both a happy ending and 30.1 percent ratings for its final episode. IU and Jo Jung Suk rewarded the fan's devotion to the drama by singing a duet titled "Beautiful Song."
When it comes to being multi-talented Jo Jung Suk is no slouch either. He can also sing and act. He appeared in the dramas "King 2 Hearts" and "What's Up, and has performed in musical theater productions that include "Spring Awakening," Janggeum The Great," and "Hedwig and the Angry Inch." He was also in the film "Architecture 101" and will soon be seen in "The King's Wrath,"
