Dell XPS 12 Two-In-One Laptop Is On Sale In The U.S. Starting At $999; Check The Specs And Enhancements

The new Dell XPS 12 two-in-one laptop is now selling in the US at the company's online store starting at $999.

The Intel Core M processors-powered device has a 4k ultra HD 3840 x 2160 touch 12.5-inch display, 8MP rear-facing camera on the back and a 5MP front-facing shooter for clear web-chatting, said Microsoft News.

It has a 512GB SSD storage, 8GM RAM, backlit keyboard, touchpad, a case and a tablet stand. It is flexible and versatile, featuring a magnetic connection that allows pulling it apart with just one hand.

One can just simply lift the tablet when traveling and place it back to its cradle anytime. The device offers mobility when in tablet mode, and productivity when in laptop mode.

According to Digital Times, the Dell XPS 12 two-in-one laptop is set to be a competitor of Microsoft's Surface Pro 4, with its many improvements from the 2013 model, both in performance and design.

Customers can opt for the higher-end 4k display with 256GB of flash storage at $1,299.

All models come with a "Skylake" processor, a 1.1 GHz Intel Core M5 which boosts 2.7 GHz and an integrated Intel HD 515 graphics. The pressure-sensitive screen works well with the Dell Stylus, an active pen to sketch and take notes. It is priced separately at $35.

Weighing 2.8 lbs in total, Dell's new hybrid laptop has a traditional keyboard on its mobility base. Viewing angle can be up to 170 degrees and the contrast ratio of the screen is as high as 1500:1. User can select the whitest white and the darkest dark.

The Corning Gorilla Glass is up to 10 times resistant to scratches. Charging Dell XPS 12 two-in-one laptop is easy with Thunderbolt 3 multi-use port which can be used to connect the device for data transfer up to eight times faster than USB 3.0, at 40GBps.

Its docking solutions have a single-cable connection for Ethernet, video, audio and power. With the optional Dell Dock-WD15, it supports five other peripheral devices and two full HD displays.
