Justin Beiber and his mom has been estranged for the past couple of years, but Selena Gomez reportedly is trying to help the two end their feud.
In a previous interview with Billboard, Justin Bieber gave a hint of the feud between her and mom, Pattie Mallette.
The "What Do You Mean" singer revealed that for the past couple of years, he has been trying to stay away from his mother.
"I was distant because I was ashamed," he said. "I never wanted my mom to be disappointed in me and I knew she was. We spent some time not talking, so it takes time to rebuild that trust. She's living in Hawaii now, so it's hard, but getting better."
Justin Bieber added, "She's an amazing woman and I love her."
This is the kind of statement that Selena Gomez wanted to hear, as the "Good For You" singer has reportedly been pushing ex Justin Bieber into ending the feud with his mom.
"Selena is huge on family and thinks Justin could benefit from some much needed, quality time with his mom," the source told Hollywood Life.
"He's got so much on his plate right now and Selena knows that Pattie always has a soothing affect on Justin," the alleged source added. "She knows he needs a lot of support right now from the people who know him the best and love him the most. People who have his best interests at heart."
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have been rumored to be getting back together after a video of him serenading his ex-girlfriend surfaced.
TMZ also reported that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber allegedly asked the AMA organizers to seat them next to each other.
"We're told Bieber and Selena have requested to rub shoulders during the ceremony, which makes sense ... he serenaded her at a Beverly Hills bar over the weekend and then strolled with her later that night along empty Bev Hills streets," it said.
