Tom Cruise hasn't admitted to having any girlfriend this 2015.
Though it has been reported that the "Mission: Impossible" actor has been dating his assistant, Emily Thomas, the rumors were debunked by revelations that Emily is actually in a relationship with someone else.
However, there are new reports that Tom Cruise may indeed have a new girlfriend this 2015, and that the lady is purportedly approved by the Church of Scientology.
According to a report by OK! Magazine, Tom Cruise is purportedly looking for a wife who is not in showbiz. There are allegedly four ladies in the actor's list of potential girlfriends this 2015: Tamara Mellon, Delphine Arnault, Emily Ratajkowski, and Katherine Waterston.
"Of all the women on Tom's 'wish list,' the only one who seems semi-promising as a future wife for Cruise is 35-year-old actress Katherine Waterston," Celeb Dirty Laundry reported. "And she seems to actually be interested in Cruise - she has already reportedly gone out on a date with him."
Despite the relationship being on its early stages, there is reportedly no possibility of a 2015 engagement without the approval of an important person in Tom Cruise's life.
"At the end of the day, it is not really up to Katherine or Tom. Before the relationship gets any more serious, Tom will have to get approval from Scientology leader David Miscavige."
Aside from having a say on who could be his girlfriend, the Church of Scientology has allegedly had a lot of influence on Tom Cruise's family life.
It could be recalled that Scientology was also an issue that Katie Holmes allegedly put on the table when she filed for divorce from Tom Cruise.
"During a deposition in his court battle against a pair of magazines, Tom Cruise admitted that ex-wife Katie Holmes filed for divorce 'to protect Suri from Scientology,' according to court documents," ABC News reported in 2013.
