Scott Weiland, 48, the "Stone Temple Pilots" singer passed away on Thursday and the cause of his death is reported to be cardiac arrest during sleep.
The singer was found dead on his tour bus which was parked near a motel in Bloomington, Minn., on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015. Scott Weiland's cause of death, according to an audio tape obtained by TMZ between the Bloomington police department and the Hennepin County Sheriff's department, is reported to be sudden cardiac attack which is believed to have occurred when he was asleep, according to US Weekly.
The singer was survived by his two children Noah, 15, and Lucy, 13, from previous marriage and his wife Jamie, who also has a son with her ex-husband. Weiland and Jamie got married in 2013 and lived together as a family for about two years now.
While Scott Weiland's cause of death is reported to be cardiac arrest, his band-mate Tommy Black is arrested lately for possessing cocaine in the tour bus where the singer died couple of days back. As per the police report a small quantity of restricted substance was found in the bedroom where Weiland was found dead, reported TMZ.
A little of the substance was also said to have been found at the guitarist Black's resting area in the bus. According to police reports Black was booked under fifth degree felony possession of drugs.
"In the end, I just want the world to know that I feel like I made my peace with him [Weiland]," said "Velvet Revolver" drummer Matt Sorum during a conversation with Sirius XM after Weiland's demise, reported Rolling Stone.
"People know that in the end, we had our differences and the band split up, but the wave of emotions that you feel is more like a family member; it's like if you had a family member that maybe you didn't get along with great but you still loved them, so that's the feeling," Sorum added.
