While fans are awaiting their favorite musician's albums to drop by the end of the year, Adele is the hottest music sensation selling more than five million units of her latest album, "25." She has announced a tour of her new album in North America and Europe.
Adele is cruising through a third week on top of U.S album sales charts. She has crushed the chances of Coldplay's new release, "A Head Full of Dreams," for a No. 1 spot.
"25" is expected to hit the six million sales mark and enjoys the hallmark of the only album to have surpassed five million copies in a calendar year. Adele has broken her own record set in 2011 for her last album.
Though Adele has mentioned that she feels lonely on a tour, she did post a video on Facebook saying "relieved to finally tell you I am of course coming on tour and I can't wait to see all of you there," US news reported.
The UK singer will also tour Britain and Europe and will begin her tour on Feb. 29 in Belfast N. Ireland.
Music industry watchers attribute high sales of Adele's new album to a strategic that excludes her music from being available on streaming services such as Apple Music or Spotify. This prompts fans to buy the album through downloads or at stores, The Associated Press reported.
