Actor Won Bin and Lee Na Young are now the parents of a son, reported the Korean media outlet Joongang Daily.

Eden Nine, which represents both actors, said that the child was born at a hospital in southern Seoul but did not specify an exact birth date.

"Both mother and child are doing well," said the Eden Nine Representative.

When the couple married on May 30, they denied that she was expecting. That was seven months ago. As a couple they have a long history of denying rumors.

The couple met when Lee Na Young joined the agency that represented Won Bin. At first they denied they were dating. But after they were photographed together in 2013, they had to admit their relationship. Early in May 2015 they denied a round of rumors that they were getting married and expecting a child. Eden Nine went so far as to call the rumors "ridiculous."

Not quite two weeks later the couple was married in a small private wedding in Won's hometown. The agency explained their initial denial of wedding details to the Korean media outlet Dispatch.

"They wanted to keep the wedding memorable, yet quiet so they could make their vows for the future with only closest family members watching."

They also denied that the wedding was due to a pregnancy.

"The rumors about Lee Na Young becoming pregnant with their child are absolutely untrue," said an Eden Nine representative.

On August 3, two months after Won Bin and Lee Na Young were married in a private ceremony, the agency announced that the couple was expecting their first child. They did not share their child's due date.

The couple is currently living in Jeongseon County, Gangwon, near Won Bin's parents, who parents reportedly visit often.

Neither actor has an upcoming acting project. Won Bin first gained wide popularity in 2000 after starring in the Hallyu hit drama "Autumn in My Heart" and he gained critical acclaim for acting in such films as the 2010 movie "The Man From Nowhere." Lee Na Young last appeared in the 2010 drama "The Fugitive: Plan B" and the Japanese film "SPEC: Close."
