Although Han is a part of the conglomerate, he starts out as a member of the marketing team of Hanseong Group and eventually become the chairman of the company.

In particular, Hong Jong-hyun, had to work with Kim So-yeon, a presidential hopeful who played Kang Mi-ri. Although the two has a 10 years old difference, they were loved by viewers for giving off enough of their love chemistry in the said drama. Hong loved his work as he absorbed Han's character, he succeeded in drawing the chemistry along with Kim So-yeon.

An interviewer met Hong Jong-hyun, who is said to be a "Greatest Character" through "Mother of Mine."

Please tell us your impression of "Mother of Mine."

HJH: "I had the longest breath among my works. I didn't have any experience before shooting, so I was worried about who I could do well and who I would be to the seniors." But many seniors, including Kim So-yeon, helped me and led me. It received great response from viewers and received good power. It is a long-lasting work."

'Mother of Mine' Han Tae-joo's character has a 'fantasy' reputation. What do you think?

HJH: "I think Han Tae-joo has a very healthy body and mind. He has so many things that he has what he wants without the need to work hard."

'Mother of Mine' Han Tae-joo is the person who pioneered his life. What is your life like?

HJH: "I have heard a lot about the 'Silver Spoon' image. Everyone thinks that I am a rich son. I didn't grow up that hard, of course, but I didn't grow so well. I'm also a step forward. But Han Tae-joo is a better person than I am."

You are 10 years apart from Kim So-yeon. Have you felt any pressure to act as a couple? When did you feel the generation gap?

HJH: "Kim So-yeon has been around for so long, and many people said I look good because I'm a bit old. That's a relief for sure. I've never felt a generation gap."

-Did you feel a lot about your mother through "Mother of Mine"?

HJH: "I thought about my mother a lot as I'm close to my mom. Still, seeing Park Sun-ja (Kim Hae-sook) who feels joyous and angry while raising her three daughters, I thought, "My mom told me that, too." I felt sorry and thankful. Still, I was grateful that my mother loved Han Tae-joo's character."
