The Cast Of “New Journey To The West” Wore Costumes Pretending To Be Famous Movie Characters
Once again the cast of "New Journey to the West" made some surprising transformations.
"New Journey to the West" is a funny travel reality show in South Korea that has been telecasted online through Naver TV Cast. This is the first show from "tvN Go," a digital-content brand from cable channel tvN.
On the December 27 broadcast, the members of the show rode the train going to the city of Milyang and they were informed that the episode was a cinema special. Kang Ho Dong said that the costumes that they will wear today must be no joke.
The cast answered a cinema speed quiz in pairs wherein, one person will describe the movie and the other person will try to guess the answer.
There were some characters revealed as who or what the cast would impersonate or dress up as. For example there is Elliott from "E.T." and Choi Ik Hyun from the film "Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time".
Lee Soo Geun said that it is the laughter thief from what he can see and he has a catchphrase. When seeing Jack Sparrow from "Pirates of the Caribbean" as another competitor, WINNER's Song Mino commented, "It's about time for a blue character to come out," he means the AVATAR character. Super Junior's Kyuhyun also added, "I don't think there's a character for me yet."
And then Olaf the snowman from "Frozen" was shown to the cast, the members murmured out loud. SECHSKIES's Eun Ji Won made everyone laugh, when he asked, "what is Olaf? He asked if it's a bug?"
The cast changed into their costumes. Kang Ho Dong transformed into Choi Ik Hyun, Eun Ji Won into Elliott from "E.T.," Lee Soo Geun into an "Avatar," Block B's P.O into Olaf, and Song Mino into Jack Sparrow. Super Junior's Kyuhyun without a flaw transformed into the Joker thanks to some finishing touches by Song Mino.
After getting ready and dressing up as their characters. The cast arrived in Milyang, they got down and walked out of the train wearing their designated costumes, and walked along the red carpet that the staff of the show prepared for them. It was like their very own "Milyang Canna Film Festival." Each cast member represented their character as they walked down the red carpet and showed off the unique traits of each cinematic figure.
Kyuhyun took it very seriously and especially got into character by asking the staff for a piece of paper where he wrote the words, "I can't hold in my laughter hahahaha."
He walked, talked, and laughed and acted like the real Joker and was the lucky winner of getting a room all for himself!
