Model and influencer Yoo Hye Won was once again drawn into dating rumors with former BIGBANG member Seungri in the latest episode of tvN's Couple Palace 2, which aired on Feb. 26.
As per The World Daily, the show cut a segment featuring a romantic setup between Yoo and fellow cast member Hwang Jae Geun, where he confessed his feelings towards her but was rejected.
"I never expected this. I was disappointed and a bit mad over this. It was not like Hwang could ignore her (when he saw her face)," admitted Hwang during the episode.
At this point, the topic of Yoo Hye-won's past came up when another cast member, Min Dong Seong, brought it up. "Isn't Number 19 (Yoo Hye-won) really famous? I knew some dirty things about her history. One of the articles regarding her ... he said.
After this episode aired, some netizens began to look back at the rumors surrounding Yoo Hye Won. Reports of the model being connected to Seungri date back between 2018 and 2020.
Speculation about their relationship status heightened when Dispatch reported that the two traveled to Bangkok together.
Her representatives declined to comment when rumors surfaced in 2018, saying it was a family matter. Even Seungri's agency, YG Entertainment, stayed silent.
In 2019, Seungri was embroiled in multiple legal controversies and was booked by police for prostitution and regular gambling, among other charges. He was indicted without detention in January 2020 and began his military service in March of that year.
However, Yoo Hye Won was photographed alongside Seungri headed to his enlistment, once again sparking speculation on the true state of their relationship amid the dramas.
Further controversy followed when photos circulated of her in Seungri's car when she had her pet dog, with the press speculation following, with her agency yet again silent and stating that it was her private life.
The couple was recently rumored to have separated after Seungri was accused of infidelity.
Apart from her modeling gigs, Yoo Hye Won has pursued acting with a role in a web drama, which also happens to be titled Go, Back Diary.
As recent discussions of Couple Palace 2 are currently going on, so is the resurfaced Yoo Hye Won's past.
