The father of actress Lee Ji-ah is locked in a family feud with his brothers over a forged land contract involving the siblings and their children concerning a 35 billion won ($29 million) plot of land.

As per XportsNews, It is a case that generated massive public interest due to allegations that he falsely identified himself as the representative of the landowner.
The Suwon District Prosecutors' Office Anyang branch found Mr. Kim (real name Kim Ji-ah), Lee Ji-ah's father, 'not guilty' of a forgery charge due to lack of evidence, The Fact reported on February 19.
However, the nephew, dubbed Nephew A, who made the allegation, believes the prosecution's decision is just a legal loophole as the statute of limitations was set to expire.
The origins of the family feud can be traced to 2013 when several hundred thousand square meters of land in Manan-gu, Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, was returned as the area served as the location of a military base.
The land was inherited from the late Kim Soon-heung, who was a pro-Japanese collaborator during the colonial period.
The landowner representative and agent, Mr. Kim, had put a mortgage on the property for 16.9 billion won. But nephew A and other siblings say that they never made him so. Mr. Kim has a chequered past and has been imprisoned at least three times since 2001 for forgery and fraud.
Last November, he was fined 3 million won ($2,300) for forging Nephew A's signature and chopping down trees on his land.
Mr. Kim has responded to the allegations, asserting: "I received the seal and certificate through legal procedures, and I received the agent in relation to the seal and certificate.
He even suggested that he was acting with encouragement from his elder sister, "My elder sister said that I can do it."
An official from Lee Ji Ah's agency, BH Entertainment, said, "We are checking regarding the matter."
Kim Soon-Heung, who became the heart of this group, was recorded in history as a pro-Japanese collaborator and a member of the pro-Japanese Dongminhoe. He contributed to national defense during World War II and was met with purges by key historical figures after Korea was liberated from the Japanese occupation.
Lee Ji Ah first entered into acting in the 2007 MBC drama "Taewangsasingi," later taking on memorable roles in dramas like "Beethoven Virus," "Athena: Goddess of War," and "The Penthouse."
Amidst the developments, the public continues to follow closely how this legal drama will play out under the spotlight of South Korean entertainment.
