Korean superstar Ji Chang Wook continues to captivate audiences as Park Jae-Won in "Lovestruck in the City," now on its fourth episode.
Following the recent third and fourth episodes of the Kakao TV original drama, Ji Chang Wook's character, architect Park Jae-Won, and Lee Eun-oh, portrayed by Kim Ji-Won, are going against all odds for their love. However, their relationship seems to be short-lived as it abruptly ended in the fourth episode.
Ji Chang Wook displayed the innocence, and maybe the naivete, of being in love. After admitting to misunderstanding Lee Eun-Oh's reasons for acting the way, she did in previous episodes. Once they learned the truth about how each other felt, they both leaped faith and started going out - making memories and confessing their plans for a future together. One of the most interesting scenes in the latest episode is the one they shared inside a camper van. Both leads establish their undeniable chemistry without the need for an elaborate background.
The highlight of the episode, without a doubt, remains the wedding scene. Simple and sincere, Chang Wook's vocals are a pleasant surprise for fans, as Jae-Won serenades Eun-Oh through the payphone. Instead of the conventional wedding ceremony, the pair went on top of the now-iconic campervan, exchanging vows and kisses on the cheek.
Going back to the present, Jae-Won appears to be left alone, with the ring they used to exchange at the "wedding." Additionally, Jae-Won has to leave the place earlier than he originally planned due to a mishap at work. Ji Chang Wook looked obviously pained when Eun-Oh does not appear at their promised meeting in Seoul.
The series "Lovestruck in the City," directed by Park Shin-Woo and written by Jung Hyun-Jung, follows the story of young people in the city and how love turns their lives around. New episodes are available every Tuesday and Friday, 5 PM KST, on Kakao TV, and 7 PM KST on Netflix.
