On August 17, JTBC's upcoming melodrama "Lost" (also known as "Human Disqualification" or "No Longer Human") starring Jeon Do Yeon and Ryu Jun yeol released a new set of photo stills.

The newly published photos featured Jeon Do Yeon as she transformed into her character, which is filled with melancholy and dissatisfaction.

The 49-year-old actress will take on the role of Boo Jung, a ghostwriter who is in her 40s, yet she feels that she hasn't done anything remarkable in her life.

She wallows in grief and sadness, thinking of how worthless she has become in her life.

Opposite Kang Jae, played by "Reply 1988" actor Ryu Jun Yeol, who is a man who dreams of becoming rich while working hard to make ends meet.

In the newly released still, Boo Jung is enveloped with cold and dry emotions while she waits in line at a book signing event by Ah Ran, a best-selling author and actress who, interestingly, is also her client.

The new still depicts Boo Jung's resentment towards Ah Ran, which raises curiosity about what's about to happen in the event.

A brief glimpse of Boo Jung's life was also shown. In the next still, it was revealed that the writer also works as a housekeeper. Fans are mostly intrigued as to how she became a housekeeper from being an aspiring ghostwriter.

Actress Jeon Do Yeon explained, "Boo Jung is an unstable character who is on the verge of taking her own life."

"The most important thing to know while watching the drama is the reason why Boo Jung is struggling and lonely," she added.

"Kingdom" actor Park Byung Eun, "Moon Lovers: Secret Heart Ryeo" actor Park Ji Young, and "Marry Me, Mary!" actor Kim Hyo Jin will be participating in the drama.

Former Apink singer Son Naeun and actress Na Hyun Woo will also be joining the cast.

"Lost" is slated to premiere on September 4 at 10:30 p.m. KST on JTBC. The drama will also be available for international streaming on iQIYI.
